World Knowledge Forum 2023 Speaker Profile: Lee Seung Gi

Born in 1987 in Seoul, Seung-gi Lee has captured the hearts of fans with his unique and distinguished style, naturally talented in various fields as a singer, actor, and entertainer. He furthered his academic depth by graduating from Dongguk University with a degree in International Trade and from the Graduate School of Cultural Contents. In terms of social activities, he has been devoting himself to the Red Cross Youth (RCY) since high school and conveyed a heartwarming message during the 60th anniversary of RCY. Notably, he contributed to society by donating a total of KRW 760 million to support the wildfire recovery effort for the East Coast in 2022 and for Gangneung in 2023. Through these endeavors, he earned the beautiful moniker of “Donation Angel,” and his humanitarian spirit continues through various donations towards other institutions. Lee Seung-gi has a keen interest in the climate environment crises and global disasters. He will participate as a speaker at the World Knowledge Forum, sharing his insights and the sense of social responsibility. We anticipate this opportunity to become a platform where people could directly hear his profound thoughts and experience.
